Installing ViCeph Doctor

Android asks for a few extra confirmations for apps not downloaded from Play. These are those steps, with a picture of each screen you will see. It takes about 2 minutes.

If you opened this from Zalo: open it in Chrome first

Tap ⋮ at the top right and choose “Open in browser”. Skip this if you are already in Chrome.

2

Tap “Download the app”

The file is about 40 MB, so use Wi-Fi. Chrome will warn “This type of file can harm your device” — choose “Download anyway”.

3

Open the downloaded file

Tap the download notification, or go to My Files → Downloads → viceph-doctor.apk.

4

Allow Chrome to install apps

You are granting this to Chrome, not to the ViCeph app. It is needed once only. After switching it on, press back to return to the install screen.

5

Confirm the install (Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo)

The phone counts down about 10 seconds before the Install button becomes tappable. This is normal — wait.

  • Xiaomi (MIUI): choose “Install from external source”.
  • Oppo, Vivo: the phone may ask for your lock-screen PIN.
  • Samsung, Google Pixel: usually no extra step — carry on.
6

When Google Play Protect warns you

Play Protect warns about every app not downloaded from Play, safe ones included. Tap “Details” then “Install anyway”.

Do not tap “Send app to Google”. It is the more prominent button but it will not install the app.

7

Open the app and sign in

Use the same email and password as your ViCeph account.

If you can see the patient list, the install is finished.

If the install fails

The phone says “App not installed” or “Invalid package”

An older ViCeph Doctor build is already on the phone. Remove it (press and hold the icon → Uninstall) and install again. The data lives on the server, so uninstalling does not lose any patient records.

The phone says the app is not compatible with this device

The app needs a 64-bit phone, which covers most handsets from 2019 onward. Older phones may not be able to install it — contact us and we will check.

Play Protect still blocks it after “Install anyway”

Open Play Store → tap your profile picture → Play Protect → the gear icon → turn off “Scan apps”. Turn it back on as soon as the install finishes.

The download never finishes or restarts

The file is 40 MB, so use Wi-Fi rather than mobile data. If a partial file is left, delete it from Downloads and try again.

It downloaded but I cannot find the file

Open Chrome → ⋮ → Downloads, or the My Files app → Downloads, and look for viceph-doctor.apk.

Still cannot install it?

Send us a screenshot of where it stopped, with your clinic name and phone model (Xiaomi, Oppo, Samsung…). That is usually enough for us to answer straight away.
